Artist's Comments
I decided to draw a picture of Athena in a different style than the norm. I know that the cast shadow and the snake aren't that great, but I don't usually draw non-humans in pictures, so it was kind of a first to me. I tried to allude to some historical references, such as the aegis around her shoulder, the split helmet on the ground, and the presence of Erichthonius (the snake).
This drawing is still incomplete, but I've been working on it for a while today and was excited to put it up. Hopefully I'll get some constructive criticism and some ideas for what to do with the background so that the finished version can be better. |
